Osteopath in Mount Evelyn: Meet Caitie from Mount + Valley Osteo

If you’ve been dealing with pain, stiffness, or an injury that’s starting to mess with work, sport, sleep, or just enjoying your day, you’re not alone. And you don’t need to “push through” and hope it disappears.

Hi, I’m Dr Caitlin Gill (Caitie), and I’m the osteopath at Mount + Valley Osteo in Mount Evelyn. My job is to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing the things you actually care about, whether that’s getting through the workday without a cranky back, training for an event, managing pregnancy aches, or getting on top of a sudden flare-up that came out of nowhere.

What you can expect at Mount + Valley Osteo

Osteopathy is hands-on healthcare that looks at how your joints, muscles, nervous system, and overall movement are working together. In plain English, we assess what’s contributing to your symptoms, then build a plan to reduce pain and restore function in a way that makes sense for your body and your life.

In appointments with me, you can expect a mix of:

  • Hands-on osteopathic treatment where appropriate

  • Clear explanations (so you understand what’s going on, and what to do next)

  • Simple at-home strategies you can actually stick to

  • Exercise rehabilitation tailored to your goals, injury history, and current capacity

I’m known for being thorough and compassionate, and for combining manual therapy with education and exercise so you’re not left feeling like you “need” endless appointments to cope. The aim is progress you can measure, and confidence you can feel.

What I treat most commonly

People come to Mount + Valley Osteo for all sorts of reasons, but some of the most common are:

  • Back and neck pain (acute or persistent)

  • Sciatica

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Pregnancy and post-natal aches and pains

  • Sports injuries and rehab

  • Arthritis and joint pain

  • Tendon injuries

  • Injury prevention and return to activity planning

  • Chronic pain support (with a whole-person approach)

If you’re not sure whether osteo is right for your situation, you can also chat with an osteopath by calling the clinic.

Exercise rehab matters (and we do it properly)

Hands-on treatment can be helpful, but for most people, the real “secret sauce” is building capacity over time. That’s why exercise rehabilitation is a core service at MVO.

We’ll work out what movements and loads your body tolerates right now, then build from there. Whether your goal is returning to sport, lifting your kids without flaring up, or simply walking more comfortably, rehab helps you regain strength, mobility, and confidence so the same issue doesn’t keep looping back.

Practical help for desk pain and work set-ups

If your body is arguing with your desk job, you’re in excellent company. MVO also offers ergonomic assessment and advice, including practical tweaks to your workspace, movement breaks, and strategies to reduce day-to-day strain (without turning your life upside down).
