Meet Avanthi

At the heart of Avanthi’s approach is taking the time to get to know each of her patients as a whole person. By developing an understanding of each patient’s health history, lifestyle and hobbies, occupation and work requirements, as well as personal goals, she is able to build a well-rounded picture of each patient’s presentation and develop a personalised treatment and management plan. Her approach combines hands-on treatment with exercise prescription and lifestyle advice, with the aim of not only helping patients feel better, but empowering them to take control of their own health. Where appropriate, Avanthi also utilises Dry Needling and her clinical knowledge and experience in Clinical Pilates to support patients throughout their recovery.

Avanthi’s qualifications include:

  • Double Degree in Osteopathy – RMIT University

  • Dry Needling

  • Clinical Pilates

Avanthi’s Clinical Interests:

Avanthi enjoys treating patients of all ages and a broad range of joint, muscular and neurological conditions. Her experience as an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant has given her a strong understanding of how work and lifestyle can impact musculoskeletal health. She incorporates ergonomic assessments and practical workplace strategies where appropriate to support her patients’ recovery.

While Avanthi treats a broad range of conditions, she has a particular interest in:

  • Occupational & Repetitive Strain Injuries – Helping patients understand and manage musculoskeletal conditions associated with their work, including ergonomic assessments and practical workplace strategies;

  • Frozen Shoulder & Bursitis – Supporting patients to reduce pain, restore movement and return to their normal activities;

  • Menopause & Perimenopause – Helping patients manage musculoskeletal concerns and changes associated with this stage of life;

  • Falls Prevention & Healthy Ageing – Supporting older adults with balance, strength and conditioning to maintain mobility, confidence and independence.

Avanthi believes effective treatment starts with understanding what is important to each patient. Her goal is to provide practical strategies that fit into everyday life, helping patients feel more confident in managing their health and working towards the activities and goals that matter to them.

When Avanthi isn’t in the clinic, you’ll usually find her running after her young son and cavoodle. She loves spending quality time with her husband, and connecting with her friends and family (both overseas and in Australia).
